Road Trip

We had a fun time in Wichita last weekend. Lucy got to see her Papa, Grammy, Great-Grandma (GG), aunts, uncles and cousins. It was a relaxing weekend of basketball, shopping, eating and swimming. The best part, someone else did the cooking and cleaning and we just got to have fun. We got to watch our nephew, Kale, play basketball and see our niece, Ariel, cheer. Lucy liked watching Ariel cheer. She would put her hands on her hips like Ariel and whenever Ariel wasn't using her pom-poms, Lucy would grab them and shake them around. It's great that she has older cousins who are wonderful role-models.

I did see a little bit of Michael and Aunt Marilee come out in Lucy this weekend. There were some little boys playing cars next to us on the floor and they were sharing with Lucy. She was so excited that they were sharing, and to be playing with them that I caught her pinning one of the boys on the floor trying to give him a kiss. She was seriously all puckered up ready to plant one on him. The boy looked a little unsure what to do, and maybe even a bit scared. So that does it, I am definitely home-schooling :)

We've had a great day today. My friend called me up this morning to come over for a play date. When we got there she had made fresh chocolate chip cookies and had home-made wheat bread baking in the oven. We had a yummy lunch, the kids played, and I got to have adult conversation. So praise the Lord for spontaneous play dates :)
